What is your style?
I emphasize the techniques of photojournalistic photography. This captures the most memorable moments without being intrusive. There are no strict rules for photojournalism…angles, framing, lights…it is all about the imagination. The only thing that matters is you and capturing those true moments. I encourage you to review my online galleries before scheduling an appointment to ensure I am the right photographer for you.

What is photojournalism?
Photojournalism means to capture the moment as it is. Nothing is staged or posed. There is no prepared shot list. If something is missed, it is gone. Photojournalism is an approach based on telling a story of the day using photographs. The photojournalist’s goal is to take pictures while people are not aware they are being photographed. By blending with the crowd, a photojournalist is able to capture the action as it unfolds – the true emotions, the real expressions, the happiness, tears and joy. Of course if you want some traditional posed family portraits, I will be more than happy accommodate.

Do you shoot with film or digital camera?
I shoot with state of the art Canon digital cameras and lenses.

Why digital?
Digital photographic equipment has significant advantages over film not only in image quality but also in zero reloading time, no processing or scanning, and better shadow details. It also allows more flexibility in the moment.

Do you take credit cards?
Yes, I accept credit cards through PayPal. A 2.9% surcharge is added to all transactions.

How much is it to reserve my event?

A 30% deposit is required to reserve your wedding day. The remainder is due two weeks prior to your wedding or party.

Do you offer black and white or sepia images, as well as color?
Yes, black and white or sepia conversion can be done. Your family and friends will be able to order all three from your private online gallery. The master images are created in color. The lab you choose to have prints made usually can make a black and white print or sepia print that is optimized for their machines.

What kind of quality can I expect from digital photography?
I use very high quality equipment, and your images are stored on archival quality CDs. This type of storage ensures that the images can be printed and last fifty or more years – just like traditional film prints.

What’s the largest print I can have made from a digital photo?
The equipment I use produces high-resolution images that can easily be enlarged to 20″x30″ without any loss of quality.

When does my time start?

I will arrive 15-45 minutes early to scout the location and get settled in with your family and friends. Your package time begins at the time we arrange photography to begin.
