What a fun day we had! Conor was so adorable (as you can see!!) We weren’t sure if the day was going to be rainy or not, so we kept in touch all week, hoping the rain would stay away. Boy did it ever. We had amazing weather. Not too cold. Not too hot. I was so glad about that….Conor gave me a run for my money. Chasing, racing, running. I didn’t need to exercise after our shoot. (Thanks Conor! Anytime I can play hookey from a run is OK by me!)

We hunted for tree fairies. Picked flowers for mommy. Looked for four leaf clovers. Found a ladybug. Fed the ducks. Made some wishes. Went fishing. Had a few races. Found an amazing stick. And then did everything all over again. LOL I don’t know about you, mom, but I went to bed early that night. ;)

Here a few favorites. I can’t wait to show you the rest. Give me a few more days. :)

Wow! I can’t believe Mackenzie’s Bat Mitzvah has come and gone! Seems like yesterday she was on the Teen Beat photo session with me wrangling puppies! Now she’s all grown up. Holy Cow! I always love photographing this family. They are so much fun. Especially Mac! And she’s an animal lover just like me. In fact this year she was honored with the K9 Kid award with Karma Rescue. She is also a great assistant! (Thanks for all your help with doggie shoots Mac!) I could go on and on, but I know you’re just here to watch the slide show. ;)

So sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy the show. When it’s done, you can visit the gallery to purchase your prints. (password is what dad does for a living)

I’ve had a very adventurous week! I broke my finger, but thank goodness it hasn’t hindered me too much. I was able to finish Malcolm’s fantastically fun train party photos and slide show. I’m not so good at typing one handed, so without further ado…Turn up the volume and enjoy the show!

Malcolm031 31 Malcolm Is Three!  {Sneak Peak}

What a fantastic party! And the trains. Malcolm wasn’t the only one who was amazed. It was the first time I had been to Travel Town Museum. I wasn’t disappointed. Corrine, otherwise known as mommy, picked the absolute best place for a three year old boy’s party. And the weather… perfect. (I don’t know about you, Corrine, but I was WORRIED!) The entire week was full of rain. And hail! (remember these photos?) But the day couldn’t have been more perfect.

The kids had a fantastic time roaming the museum. There were trains, trains and more trains. A few old fashioned cars and even a huge model train set with moving cars and a cute little town. Malcolm loved it. I think it was his favorite thing. He kept going back for more. He loved watching the train make it’s way around all the curves and turns. He took grandma there and both his uncles. He just had to make sure they didn’t miss such a cool exhibit. It was adorable.

Lunch was also a gorgeous spread and I think mom made everything from scratch. There was hummus and wraps and really cool fruit bouquets. And of course cupcakes. Chocolate and my very favorite…Red Velvet. Yum. They were, of course, a big hit with the kids too.

Remember those days? When a cupcake all to yourself was the best thing. Ever! I love shots of kids eating. Nothing cuter than a face full of icing. (or pizza!) And of course the day wouldn’t be complete without a photo of mommy and the birthday boy! Hope you guys had as much fun as I did! Thank you for trusting me to capture such a special day. Check back soon for the rest of the photos.

Wendy Newell Final038 Riggins Sneak Peak {Top Dog Portrait Photography}

What a beautiful day it turned out to be! A big difference from last weekend. (our original shoot date) I almost never have to reschedule because of the weather. So glad I did, the day was perfect.

We decided on Griffith Park for our shoot. Our meeting place, the observatory. No one would be up there on a sunny afternoon. It’s a place to look at the STARS! Boy were we wrong. The parking lot was completely packed. I mean PACKED. Not to worry, we both had cell phones. Oops. I guess we forgot to think about cell reception. After a few lost calls, I decided to text Wendy the new location. Good thing!

I swear Riggins was a mind reader. Every time I thought of a new spot or was about to tell him to sit or lay down….He did it! Seriously. It was so funny. And what a good boy. So happy. So curious. And STRONG!

Wendy had a few changes and when she left for the bathroom, Riggins’ eyes followed her the whole way. And when he couldn’t see her anymore, he started to cry. Poor boy. I had to dig out my peanut butter jar to keep him happy. ;)

All in all, a fantastic shoot. Thanks Wendy! I’ll let you know when the rest of the photos are done. Until then, enjoy your sneak peek.

Karen Seade Final 035 Edit Bodhi and Mystic Sneak Peak {LA Dog Photographer}

Bodhi and Mystic were the sweetest boys ever. Both seniors, but you’d never know it. They were so full of energy, I had a hard time keeping up with them!

Our plan was to start out at Karen’s house and then work our way down to the beach. I was ready for some shyness, but I didn’t have to worry about it at all. One sniff of my camera and then a big sniff of the famous blue pouch and that was all these boys needed to warm up. And they got a special treat….getting to hang out on the brand new sofa. Hope I didn’t start a bad habit!

This was a very special session. Mystic, the gorgeous white pup was recently diagnosed with cancer. He is doing fantastic, though. The meds are working miracles and he was so happy and full of energy. (but do keep him in your thoughts and prayers! I know Karen would appreciate it.)

Both Mystic and Bodhi had a blast at the beach. I think they sniffed every grain of sand in a 10 mile radius. Such good boys. They would take a break from sniffing to pose for me. And they are serious food mongers. Just like Gabby.

We wrapped things up back at the house and got some really cute family shots. I can’t wait to show you Karen! Until then, enjoy your sneak peek. Give those sweet boys a belly rub for me. :)
