I have been a fan of BADRAP since way back….when I knew nothing about pit bulls and found out the rescue I was volunteering for had a million of them. Way back before Gabby. Before I met Jazz. Or Georgie. When all I knew about pits were what I heard on the news. I went to their website to learn about the dogs I would be helping to rescue. Boy did I learn a lot!
I’ve followed their blog. Their monumental rescues. Dogs like Nellie. And Hector. I asked (very tenatively) if I could come see their barn and meet the dogs while I’m in Oakland. When they said yes, I was so excited! Woo Hoo, I get to meet the Vick dogs. The Oklahoma dogs. And meet Donna and Tim. Wow! I can’t remember how I got around to asking if they wanted to do a photo day fundraiser. But I did. And they said yes.
Nothing I like more than photographing dogs. And raising money for dog rescue. Needless to say, I’ll be in heaven that weekend.

Wow! I can’t believe Mackenzie’s Bat Mitzvah has come and gone! Seems like yesterday she was on the Teen Beat photo session with me wrangling puppies! Now she’s all grown up. Holy Cow! I always love photographing this family. They are so much fun. Especially Mac! And she’s an animal lover just like me. In fact this year she was honored with the K9 Kid award with Karma Rescue. She is also a great assistant! (Thanks for all your help with doggie shoots Mac!) I could go on and on, but I know you’re just here to watch the slide show.
So sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy the show. When it’s done, you can visit the gallery to purchase your prints. (password is what dad does for a living)

What a fantastic party! And the trains. Malcolm wasn’t the only one who was amazed. It was the first time I had been to Travel Town Museum. I wasn’t disappointed. Corrine, otherwise known as mommy, picked the absolute best place for a three year old boy’s party. And the weather… perfect. (I don’t know about you, Corrine, but I was WORRIED!) The entire week was full of rain. And hail! (remember these photos?) But the day couldn’t have been more perfect.
The kids had a fantastic time roaming the museum. There were trains, trains and more trains. A few old fashioned cars and even a huge model train set with moving cars and a cute little town. Malcolm loved it. I think it was his favorite thing. He kept going back for more. He loved watching the train make it’s way around all the curves and turns. He took grandma there and both his uncles. He just had to make sure they didn’t miss such a cool exhibit. It was adorable.
Lunch was also a gorgeous spread and I think mom made everything from scratch. There was hummus and wraps and really cool fruit bouquets. And of course cupcakes. Chocolate and my very favorite…Red Velvet. Yum. They were, of course, a big hit with the kids too.
Remember those days? When a cupcake all to yourself was the best thing. Ever! I love shots of kids eating. Nothing cuter than a face full of icing. (or pizza!) And of course the day wouldn’t be complete without a photo of mommy and the birthday boy! Hope you guys had as much fun as I did! Thank you for trusting me to capture such a special day. Check back soon for the rest of the photos.

Wow what a fantastic event! Gingerbread House Decorating with Piccolo Chef! It was perfect weather at the Westfield Century City Dining Terrace. The kids had an amazing time. So did the parents. So did I! What could be better than gingerbread, jellybeans, chocolate, gummy bears….you get the picture. (and since I’m a kid at heart and still love candy, I was in heaven.
)

Who knew that every spot would be full by noon! Way to go Piccolo Chef! Take a look and see for yourself! Don’t forget to turn up the volume. Enjoy the slide show.
