Again I get to photograph a musical genius…renowned Italian musician Giovanni Allevi during (H)itWeek in Los Angeles. What a story! I’ll let you hear it from Giovanni’s lips. It’s amazing and I am honored I got to photograph him. And it was his first interview in English…ever! You’d never know it.

Here’s a little more info on this fantastic musician. And more at his official website. (makes me want to learn Italian!)

And last, but definitely not least, listen to his wonderful music. Can you believe he secretly taught himself? At age 5!

I never know where my photography will take me. This year, I became a staff photographer for the online magazine i-italy. Who knew I would be asked to photograph an Italian Legend, Franco Battiato. When I told a few of my Italian friends what I was up to that weekend, I was amazed. Seems Franco Battiato is an Italian Mick Jagger or Paul McCartney. Wow! And what a nice man. So humble and sweet, you would never have guessed he was musical royalty!

If you ever saw Children Of Men with Clive Owen and Julianne Moore then you know one of his songs. And I think it’s my favorite version of Ruby Tuesday I’ve ever heard!

Take a look at Mr. Battiato’s website to learn more about him.

I can’t believe how much I love my job. Yes I can.
Shilo is gorgeous! You might remember her from the pumpkin patch photos. Her mama is just as beautiful.
This blue wall was the perfect find. (Thank you husband!) He hated the flare. I love a sun flare here and there.
My friend Rachael (and an awesome photographer) loves doggie paws. These are for her! So cute!
Thanks to Shannon we got to use this cool car. She was just getting over being sick and still came out to meet us at the location. I love the car shots.
Another favorite. The light was amazing. We were surrounded by men flying planes…they were buzzing around our heads. Rex was fascinated with them. (you’ll see in later photos!)

These were the last few shots from a very long day. I’m so glad we pushed through our hunger and exhaustion. These are some of my favorites. Just gorgeous.

I love that the bride was barefoot.

Finally, I am done with the editing. Kea and Krista are too gorgeous! I couldn’t get rid of any duds, because there were no duds.
The make up was flawless, thanks to Roxanne Paris of Eternal Aesthetics. The pups, of course, were adorable. Now, turn up the volume, sit back and enjoy the slide show.
Thanks again Kea, Krista, Roxy, Blossom, Diesel, Kima, Gabby and Arash. You guys were awesome.

The gorgeous Kea and Miss Blossom. I’m so glad Kea will do just about anything I ask for photography. I’m never disappointed, she is just beautiful. Blossom did really great too.

Thank you Krista, Kea and Roxy! (the girls) And thanks to Diesel, Kima, Blossom and Gabby. (the dogs) AND…thanks to Darrell, Arash and Chad. (the men…who set up, cleaned up and babysat!) You all were awesome and I had such a great time photographing you.
Happy Birthday to Rachael too. She was there in spirit. Hope you are feeling better, but don’t think for a second you got out of being a pin up!

More photos to come!

Kea is now selling her diet secrets to the world. Eat whatever you want and still look amazing. Yep, we hate her for that. But my camera loves her! (and really, so do I!) Blossom says she wishes she could eat whatever she wanted. Her tummy says otherwise!
